Your documents are processed on your device. Docenity has no document upload server, app account, advertising or third-party analytics service. You choose what to import, save and share.

1. About this policy

This policy covers the Docenity app for iPhone and iPad and information you separately send to support. “Dreamsnity”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the developer providing Docenity under the Dreamsnity brand. The app provider is identified on the relevant App Store listing. Contact us at dreamsnity@gmail.com with the subject “Docenity privacy”.

Other Dreamsnity apps have separate policies. Visiting Dreamsnity.com is covered by the website privacy policy, including its optional website analytics. Website analytics are not part of the Docenity app.

2. Your documents and local processing

Imported files, camera scans, selected photos, document names, folders, tags, favorites, saved text, edits, form values, generated copies and app preferences are held in app-managed storage on your device. Temporary working and sharing copies may also be created there. Importing a file copies it into Docenity’s local library; it does not give Dreamsnity access to the original or to other files in your storage provider.

Scanning, PDF editing, text recognition, conversion, compression, comparison and document organization run locally. These features do not upload your documents to Dreamsnity or an online conversion service. There is no Dreamsnity document sync or remote recovery service.

Optional translation uses installed Apple language models. The Private assistant uses Apple’s on-device system model on supported devices. Your selected text and prompt are processed on your device, with no cloud AI fallback or upload to Dreamsnity for model training. Availability depends on the device, operating system, language and installed models. Apple may need an internet connection to download its models separately.

A signature drawn for a document is processed locally. If you choose Remember my signature, the drawing is stored in device-only Keychain storage for reuse. It is not sent to a signing service. A signature placed in a saved PDF becomes part of that file.

3. Permissions you control

Camera: used when you open the document scanner and grant permission. Scans are saved to your local library.

Photos and files: Apple’s system pickers provide the items you select. Docenity does not request access to your entire photo library. A selected cloud file provider may download a file to your device under that provider’s settings.

App lock: if enabled, iOS authenticates you using the available Face ID, Touch ID or device passcode method. Docenity receives the authentication result, not your biometric template or device passcode. App lock controls entry to the app; it does not password-protect files you export.

Docenity does not request microphone, device-location, contacts, calendar or notification access. A file you import can itself contain personal information or metadata, which is processed with that file on your device.

You can change granted permissions in iOS Settings. Turning off a permission stops the related access but does not erase files already saved.

4. Information you choose to send us

Ordinary app use does not send your library to us. If you email dreamsnity@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include. We use these to answer your request, investigate a reported problem and manage related correspondence. Gmail processes these messages as our email provider.

Send only what is needed to explain the issue. Redact private document content and avoid sending identity documents, complete libraries, signatures, passwords or payment details. Sending an email is separate from using the local app and does not give us remote access to your device.

Where a legal basis is required, handling purchase or app-support requests may be necessary to provide the requested service. Our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, investigating faults and protecting our services may also apply, subject to your rights. Legal obligations may require us to retain or disclose relevant correspondence. A support request is not permission for marketing emails.

5. Sharing, Apple and external services

You can choose to share or export a file, print a document or follow a link. The app, person, file provider or printer you select receives the content needed for that action and applies its own practices. Files can contain personal information, signatures, annotations or metadata. Check the selected file and destination before sharing. Copies outside Docenity remain under the control of their recipients and providers.

Apple handles app distribution, the paid App Store download and refunds. Dreamsnity does not receive your payment card details through Docenity. Apple may provide sales and download reports, and usage or diagnostic reports according to your sharing choices and Apple’s reporting rules. TestFlight, if you use it, has Apple’s separate testing, feedback and diagnostic processes. These services do not give Dreamsnity remote access to your library.

Docenity includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell your documents, use them for advertising or receive them through ordinary app use. Information separately provided to support is shared only as needed for the stated support purpose, related disputes or applicable legal duties.

6. Local storage and deletion

You manage your library directly on your device. Dreamsnity cannot remotely read, retrieve or delete it. There is no Docenity account or server-side document library to delete by email.

Moving a document to Trash keeps its local file so that you can restore it. Trash is not automatically emptied. To remove that library copy, open Settings → Trash, choose Delete permanently beside the file and confirm. The original file you imported, other edited copies and copies held elsewhere are separate.

Settings → Clear temporary files removes working copies without deleting saved library documents. Use it when no tool or sharing operation is running. To remove a remembered signature, use Settings → Saved signature. This does not remove signatures already placed in PDFs. Remove the saved signature using this control before uninstalling if you want it erased; do not assume uninstalling also clears device Keychain entries.

Files exported to other apps or recipients and copies in device backups must be managed separately in those destinations. Local deletion does not erase another person’s copy or promise forensic overwriting of storage. Recover missing files searches the local document folder for unlisted files; it does not retrieve a Dreamsnity backup or recover permanently deleted files.

If you contacted support, you can ask us about deletion of that correspondence by emailing dreamsnity@gmail.com. We retain it only as needed to address your request and related follow-up, resolve disputes or meet applicable legal obligations. You do not need to send us your library to make that request.

7. Device security and backups

Docenity uses iOS app storage and file-protection controls. Optional app lock uses system authentication. A remembered signature uses device-only Keychain storage. Keep your device secure with a passcode and current software. No privacy or encryption feature makes a compromised device completely secure.

Password protect creates a separate PDF requiring the password you enter. App lock alone does not encrypt every PDF with a separate password, and files are not automatically password-protected when shared. Dreamsnity cannot recover forgotten PDF passwords.

Your iOS device-backup settings may include Docenity’s local library in iCloud or computer backups. Local processing does not disable those backups. Apple or the backup destination controls those copies under your settings. Dreamsnity does not operate or have access to them. Keep and verify independent copies of important documents before deleting data, changing devices or uninstalling.

Support email and external destinations you choose may process information in other countries. Their processing locations and safeguards depend on the service. Where Dreamsnity is responsible for a restricted international transfer, the applicable legal requirements apply. Contact us about the handling of correspondence you have provided.

8. Your control and privacy rights

View, correct, export and delete library content on your device, and manage permissions through Docenity and iOS. We do not hold a server copy of your documents and cannot access or erase them through a support request.

For personal information you separately provide to Dreamsnity, such as support correspondence, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Email dreamsnity@gmail.com to exercise rights concerning information we hold. We may ask only for information reasonably needed to verify and handle your request. Applicable deadlines and lawful exceptions apply, and you may complain to the relevant data protection authority.

Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You do not need to contact us to manage your local documents.

9. Families and support messages

Docenity does not require a profile, age, account or contact details to use its document tools. Its local processing does not send a child’s documents to Dreamsnity. A parent or guardian should help a child understand sharing destinations and any permissions or purchases that require their involvement.

If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent personal information to our support mailbox, email us so we can review and, where appropriate or required, delete that correspondence. Do not send the child’s local document library to make the request.

10. Policy updates

We will update this page when Docenity’s privacy practices change and show the effective date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before new processing begins. Changing this policy does not by itself authorize a new use of information already provided.

11. Contact Dreamsnity
