Terms for Docenity’s paid App Store download, on-device document tools and support from Dreamsnity.
1. About these terms
Docenity is a document app provided under the Dreamsnity brand. “Dreamsnity”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the app developer identified as the provider on the relevant App Store listing. Contact us at dreamsnity@gmail.com.
Read these terms and the Docenity privacy policy before using the app. These supplemental terms apply where validly made part of your agreement. Publishing this page does not by itself change an earlier purchase. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that consumer, privacy or other applicable law does not allow a contract to exclude.
2. Your App Store licence
An App Store copy is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement unless the App Store supplies a custom licence for your purchase. That licence governs permitted use, transfers, warranties, termination and liability within its scope. These terms supplement it and do not grant ownership of the app. If a supplemental term conflicts on a licensing matter, the applicable licence controls, subject to mandatory law.
Permitted copies and any Family Sharing follow the licence and Apple’s usage rules. Rights under applicable open-source licences remain with the relevant components. Notices are available in Settings → About → Credits & Acknowledgements. Dreamsnity provides app support; Apple operates its own store and billing services.
3. Eligibility and lawful use
You must have the legal capacity or required parent or guardian permission for the agreement that applies to your use. Follow applicable law and App Store requirements. If acting for an organization or signing for someone else, you must have the necessary authority.
Do not use Docenity for forgery, fraud, impersonation, unlawful surveillance, infringement, unauthorized disclosure or other violations of another person’s rights. Do not introduce malicious code, interfere with the app or related systems, or bypass access or payment controls. These restrictions do not prohibit activity that applicable law expressly permits despite a contractual restriction.
4. Your documents belong to you
You retain the rights you hold in your documents, images, signatures and other content. Using Docenity does not transfer ownership of that content to Dreamsnity. You are responsible for the permissions needed to import, scan, modify, sign, process and share it.
Documents are processed on your device as described in the privacy policy. If you voluntarily send a file to support, you permit its use to investigate and answer that request; this does not authorize selling it, publishing it for promotion or using it for model training. Dreamsnity and its licensors retain rights in the app software, design and brand, subject to applicable component licences and law.
5. Purchases and refunds
Docenity is offered as a one-time paid App Store download. It currently has no recurring subscription, trial countdown or additional in-app purchase for included tools. The App Store displays the applicable price, currency and taxes before purchase. Availability and the description at purchase govern what you receive.
Your purchase covers the app licence and described supported functionality. It does not include other Dreamsnity apps, cloud storage, custom development or a promise of every future feature. Device and operating-system requirements still apply. Required updates and other obligations are governed by the applicable licence, purchase terms and mandatory law.
Apple processes billing. Use Apple’s refund process for an Apple-billed purchase; eligibility depends on the transaction, Apple’s applicable rules and statutory rights. Dreamsnity cannot guarantee Apple’s decision or change Apple’s billing records. You can contact us about an app fault or other remedy for which we are responsible.
6. Review edits, conversions and recognition
Review saved copies before sharing or relying on them. OCR, translations, table recognition, extracted text, comparisons and generated answers may be incomplete or incorrect. They are document aids, not professional advice or guaranteed records. Confirm important names, numbers, calculations, deadlines and conclusions against the source.
Office conversion is text-based. It does not reconstruct original layouts, charts, embedded images or complex tables. Editing existing text is limited by the PDF’s fonts and structure and is not secure redaction. A highlight, box or text replacement must not be assumed to remove all underlying confidential information. Docenity does not offer a general permanent-redaction or metadata-removal guarantee.
Some operations, including signatures, cropping, region replacement, image compression and archival output, flatten affected pages. This can remove selectable text, live links, form interactivity or other document properties. Read the tool’s description and save notice. Editing a digitally signed document can affect signature validity. Compression may not reduce every file, and rebuilding cannot repair every damaged PDF.
7. Signatures and forms
Docenity lets you draw and place a visible signature mark. It does not verify the signer’s identity, provide certificate-based digital signing, send remote signature requests or create a signing audit trail. The legal effect of a signature depends on the document, authority, consent, jurisdiction and applicable formalities; using the tool does not guarantee enforceability.
Only place a signature you are authorized to use. Check the completed document, field values, page positions and saved output before sending it. A remembered signature is stored locally for reuse; you are responsible for protecting access to your device and signed copies.
8. Device security, backups and deletion
Keep independent, verified copies of important documents. Dreamsnity does not keep a cloud library or remote recovery copy. iOS backup settings may include local files, but a backup’s availability and restoration depend on your settings and provider. Preserve documents before changing devices, deleting data or uninstalling.
Editor and tool outputs normally create new copies. Local originals, Trash and recovery controls do not guarantee recovery from device loss, corruption or permanent deletion. Trash retains files until you permanently delete them. Working copies, saved signatures, exported files and backups are managed separately as explained in the privacy policy.
App lock uses system authentication; it does not add a password to every exported PDF. Use the separate PDF password tool when needed, choose a secure password and retain it safely. Dreamsnity cannot recover forgotten PDF passwords. No security measure guarantees protection on a compromised device.
9. Compatibility and third-party services
Standard tools require a supported iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. Local table recognition and translation require version 26 or later; translation needs supported languages already installed in Apple Translate. The Private assistant also requires compatible Apple Intelligence hardware and an enabled, downloaded on-device model. There is no cloud AI fallback. Storage, memory, file structure, file size, language and system capabilities may limit a particular operation.
Apple, the file providers, recipients, printers and external websites you choose have their own terms and practices. You control which destinations receive exported content. Dreamsnity is responsible for its own app and conduct and any duties the law assigns to it, but does not control independent destinations or their copies of your documents.
10. Updates and ending use
Updates may address security, compatibility, maintenance or product improvements. A purchase does not promise every future feature, compatibility with every future operating system, or a fixed response time unless expressly committed at purchase or required by law. Material changes remain subject to your existing purchase rights; changing this page does not give us a general right to remove paid functionality or required remedies.
You can stop using Docenity at any time. There is no Docenity account or subscription to cancel. Export files you want to keep, manage saved signatures and follow the deletion controls before uninstalling. Licence termination and any continuing rights follow the applicable App Store licence.
11. Warranties and limitations
Docenity must meet binding descriptions, express purchase commitments and mandatory product standards that apply. Beyond those commitments, we do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect recognition, accurate generated output, compatibility with every PDF or successful file recovery in every case. Applicable App Store licence warranty exclusions apply where legally effective. This does not override statements or promises the law makes binding.
For claims covered by the applicable App Store licence, its exclusions and aggregate financial limits apply where enforceable. These supplemental terms do not increase those limits or create a second recovery for the same loss. For business use, liability for lost business profits, business interruption and indirect business loss is excluded where lawful. This does not exclude mandatory consumer remedies or reasonably foreseeable loss where the law makes us responsible.
We are not responsible for loss to the extent caused by unlawful misuse, disclosure to a recipient you choose or events outside our reasonable control rather than a breach of our duties. Nothing excludes fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that law prohibits excluding. Mandatory consumer and privacy rights remain available.
12. Questions, disputes and changes to these terms
Email dreamsnity@gmail.com about a problem, including the app version, device and a description of what happened. Avoid sending a complete library or sensitive files. A support discussion does not require you to waive legal rights.
Governing-law provisions in the applicable App Store licence apply within their scope. Applicable conflict-of-law rules govern matters outside that scope. Mandatory consumer protections and available courts or authorities remain available. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues where legally possible. Failure to enforce a provision once does not automatically waive it.
The date above identifies this version. Material changes will be identified, with notice and agreement where required. New terms do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an earlier purchase.
